​Angelique is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) with over 3 years of direct experience helping individuals adjust to major life changes, improve relationships with self and others, and cope with uncomfortable thoughts and feelings.

 

Angelique’s specific experience of working with individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use issues has allowed her to become well-versed in interventions of motivational interviewing, Dialectical, Cognitive, and Acceptance-Commitment Therapies (DBT, CBT, ACT), harm-reduction, involving loved and supported individuals into the therapeutic environment and addressing one’s self-esteem and wellness.

 

This combination of hands-on experience and studying clinical effective practices has allowed her to make significant progress with these individuals and their loved ones, through a combination of treatment that involves unconditional support, mindfulness, and motivation.

Angelique's unique experiences and specialties include: 

• Lead clinician/coordinator for ASAM-certified outpatient detox facility; ranging between outpatient, partial care, and ambulatory withdrawal management levels of care.

• Expert in process and psychoeducational group facilitation with topics on relapse prevention, feelings, thoughts, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, wellness, and communication.

• Trained in addressing behavioral addictions, such as gambling, internet gaming, food, etc.
